The Rewa police tweeted in this regard that after registering the crime in the viral video, after the co-accused, the main accused was also taken into custody by the police. Sub Divisional Officer of Police Naveen Dubey said that according to the primary information, this youth is a resident of Dhera village of Mauganj area. The police further informed that the victim girl and Pankaj were in a relationship. Pankaj had beaten up the girl after a mutual dispute.

In Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh , the police have caught the lover who beat his girlfriend on the road for asking her for marriage. A video of this 24-year-old youth went viral. In which he was seen beating his girlfriend.

In the video which went viral, it is seen that this 19-year-old girl asks the young man to marry her. After this the young man gets angry and then kicks the girl and then also slaps her on the face. It is said that initially the youth was arrested after registering a case under section 151. The girl refused to lodge a complaint.

However, when the video of the attack on the girl went viral, sections other than section 323 were added to it. The 19-year-old girl has also filed a case against the person who made and circulated the video.

Regarding this incident of Mauganj police station area of Rewa, it is being told that the girl was insisting to marry her lover and was asking to go together for marriage. Angered by this, the lover first slapped the girlfriend hard and then threw her on the ground and attacked her with his feet. The girl had fainted during this fight. The girl remained unconscious on the roadside for a long time. Later the local people had informed the police. Police reached the spot and got the girl admitted to the hospital for treatment.
